Park Board cannot operate outside the law

Our city is fortunate to have a great city parks system. I have always been a supporter of our parks, from playing in Rapid Run and Mt. Echo parks as a child to enjoying Krohn Conservatory throughout my life, spending time with my family at great summer events at Ault Park, and as mayor ensuring that Smale Riverfront Park would be completed in time for the 2015 All-Star Game. That park helped our whole city shine for that amazing week.

Cincinnati Parks are crown jewels of our city, but as we have learned over the past few years through the reporting of The Enquirer and through several outside audits and investigations, several practices of the Park Board, though probably initiated with good intentions, are illegal, lacking in basic…
